Oh, hi there!

This site is currently under construction for our 2019 / 5780 season of High Holy Days. Forgive us, pardon us, grant us atonement.

In the meantime, you can reserve your seat for AWE: High Holy Days 2019 / 5780 at Hammerstein Ballroom, NYC - quick, before we sell out!

And if you are looking for Lab/Shul’s main website, please visit www.labshul.org.

Awe enables us to sense in small things the beginning of infinite significance, to sense the ultimate in the common and the simple; to feel in the rush of the passing the stillness of the eternal.
— Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel

“Awe is a lightning bolt that marks in memory those moments when the doors of perception are cleansed and we see with startling clarity what is truly important in life. Moments of awe may be the most important, transformative experiences of life.”

- David Elkins

Led by a diverse team of artists, rabbis, poets, and award-winning musicians, Lab/Shul remixes traditional liturgies and rituals with original God-optional translations, live musical meditations, interactive storytelling, multifaith ceremonies, public talks, and festive meals. Plus, Lab/Jr.’s family programming has all ages covered.

New this year: The Hammerstein Ballroom in the heart of midtown Manhattan will help ensure we’re not only everybody-friendly, but also everyborough-friendly. We’re also offering reserved seats in response to requests from many of our loyal community members, as well as discounted $36 Angel Assistance seats to expand our circle even wider.

“I am 64 years old and have been to many High Holy Days, but I have never been to a one like yours. You made me finally feel something.”
